Product Description
Inebriating stories, a tribute to femininity and its flower par excellence.
Eva e la rosa is a voyage in the lives of ten women, interwoven like the logbook of a sailor who has sailed the seas of time in search of stories joined by enchanting roses. Ten beautiful roses for ten women who lived between the XII century and the present day. Ten Eves and Muses who received the dedication of a rose to honour their triumphs and grace, or who were gardeners themselves, women devoted to botany, such as Saint Hildegard and Josephine Bonaparte, Grace Kelly and Marella Agnelli. But also Vita Sackville-West, Gertrude Jekyll, Carolina di Borbone, Rosamund Clifford, Margaret Bentinck e Mademoiselle de Sombreuil.
Stories always full of charm, sometimes dramatic, and in some cases mischievous. Lives that couldn’t differ more from one another, recounted in first person as though the author herself had relived them personally, giving shape to an original history book, one that is never pedantic and always light in style: a unique diary that is a tribute to femininity and its flower par excellence.
