Product Description
Italian photographer Marina Alessi measures herself with forty-four Street artists and the result is “Autori Ritratti 44+1. Fotografia e Street Art gioco a due”, an art catalogue published by Vallecchi. The result is a serried confrontation in which each artist conserves his own peculiarities making them converse in a game of references where the different languages blend into a harmonic whole. The tool of enquiry par excellence, Marina Alessi uses photography to realise a series of double portraits, a close-up and a full-figure, and then asks each artist for an intervention that, depending on the case, will be delicate, intense, or allusive. From this extraordinary mixture, an artistic project is born, tied to a travelling exhibition-event that will start at The Dong Gallery, May 14-24, 2009. The book contains a presentation by Dario Fo and a critical text by Roberto Mutti.
