In order to celebrate its centennial, the Vallecchi publishing house brings back to bookshops the complete anastatic version or the “Leonardo” magazine, published in Florence from 1903 to 1907 by Attilio Vallecchi and headed by Giovanni Papini (Gian Falco) and Giuseppe Prezzolini (Giuliano il Sofista). This is a unique opportunity to rediscover, in the original three formats and with the original colours, the great wealth of the articles and the splendid illustrations of publications that are no longer found in rare bookshops, publications which have enjoyed the collaboration of the most important voices of literary, philosophic, scientific culture both Italian and European. The introductory pamphlet accompanying the magazine contains the historical introduction by Giorgio Luti, the transcription of Giovanni Papini’s manuscript “ Discorso ai Vinciani” and the introduction to the “Leonardo 1903: la nascita della modernità” exhibition, displayed in BZF location in Florence in collaboration with the City of Florence (january the 8th - march the 30th , 2003), dedicated to the magazine and to the literary and artistic personalities that gravitated around it. Nine separate plates accompany the publication. The whole presented in an elegant box.
