A great classic of futurist poetry from the beginning of the twentieth century is proposed in the form of an accurate anastatic edition which reproduces the original printed by Attilio Vallecchi in 1919, after a first edition of 300 copies in large format published in 1915. Almost irretrievable in shop specialized in rare books, the small volume brings together the poetic compositions of Ardengo Soffici dating from the periodo of tha magazines "Lacerba" and "Voce". Reminiscing about the days spent taking care of the 1919 edition in his friend Vallecchis printing office shortly before going to war, Soffici explained the origin of the books curious title. Charmed "By one of those peculiar combinations of characters and typographic symbols" obtained by taking apart the lines used to construct the pages to be printed, it seemed to him indicative of the "fantastic singularity of the text" to which was added the more explicit subtitle, "Simultaneousness and Lyric Chemisms". The Vallecchi publishing company has dedicated to its readers the book that gave name to the new expository space "BZF" located in the heart of Florence. In these pages, incisive and unconvetional in their modernity, one can appreciate an uncommon distillate of the atmosphere and popular themes surrounding the avant-garde protagonist of twentieth-century Europe. Here one finds the expressive search of a self-taught literary-painter diasassociated from acadelic knoweledge who was, however, the forerunner in Italy of the best art crtiticism.
